c1890 Velocipede Tricycle with sprung steering head

26″ Front wheel; 15.5″ rear wheels

LENGTH: 43″

WIDTH: 21″

HEIGHT: 36″

Sprung steering heads became popular on adult bicycles at the end of the 1880s. Although this velocipede tricycle looks earlier than that era, I’ve used this fact to date it as c1890. It is an older restoration, with a beautiful leather saddle similar to those used on the first velocipedes, though a smaller size. It’s in excellent all round condition.
