1913 Bastide Stayer

Genuine track racers had a hard life. Being custom built for individual competitors, their tubing was particularly lightweight and the machines were usually scrapped after being damaged. Cycle makers capitalised on their successes on the track by selling more robust racing models to the public so their customers could imitate their heroes…
