The Rudge Crescent (automatic) is so named because of a special arrangement which has the effect of keeping the machine in a straight line without the steering being touched by the hands.
This we consider will be highly appreciated for it gives the rider full liberty of his hands when travelling on straight roads, and is especially suitable for country riding. This tricycle is steered by a handle bar, which gives a pull-back action, which we consider most essential in mounting hills, with the least possible amoutn of exertion, and, in descending hills, forms a comfortable rest for the hands.
