1891 Willesden Cycle Co ‘Successor’ Crossframe Safety
20″ Frame
28″ Wheels
Standover height: 32″

I’m not 100% certain of the manufacturer of this crossframe safety. At first I thought it might be a New Rapid, though now I’m inclined to think it’s a Successor.
The Willesden Cycle Co was a small concern at 45 Station Road, Willesden Junction, selling bicycles in North London. Proprietor was Douglas Leechman who had previously been the manager of the Success Cycle Co. The company’s primary model was the ‘Successor’ Crossframe Safety, which was displayed at the Stanley Cycle Show in 1891.
This rare survivor is an older restoration and, apart from scratched paint here and there, is in excellent all round condition and ready to ride.
