1890s Bicycle Clock (Penny farthing on top)

LENGTH: 8 1/2″

WIDTH: 5 1/2″

HEIGHT of CLOCK: 10″

OVERALL HEIGHT: 15 1/2″

The clock has a multicoloured stone body with a repair in one corner of the top. It was described as being in working order when I bought it, though it didn’t work when I tried it, so I’ll sell it for display or restoration. There’s a key for the clockwork mechanism and a pendulum too. At the top of the dial there’s a regulating adjustment for ‘S’ or ‘F’ if you wish to increase or decrease its speed. The country of origin is unknown, though the clockwork mechanism appears to be American.

On its top is a High wheel cyclist in Cycle Club costume proudly showing off his machine. There’s good attention to detail.
