This 1891 Peugeot ‘Lion’ is a very rare survivor as it was only built for a short time. As you can see from the catalogue extracts and advertisements below, its frame design with both a curved seat tube and down tube is positioned between a nearly identical 1890 model with open frame and reinforced mudguard to compensate for the lack of seat tube, and the 1892 model which had a straight seat tube.
