This Quadrant was sold in France by Quadrant’s agents Lonclas & Guibert of Paris. They opened a French branch in Châlous, France in March 1891. As well as being agents for all of France, they also sold Quadrants in Switzerland and Algeria. Judging by the low frame number, French Quadrants appear to have had their own numbering system separate from the English machines. This example has a normal seat post fitted rather than the optional ‘Ressort a Suspension.’
