The first company established by inventor and industrialist Charles Teetor was the Railway Cycle Manufacturing Company. It became the Light Inspection Car Company in 1904, located in Hagerstown, Indiana.
1898 Teetor Railway Cycle
(Light Inspection Car)
Model: Single Seated Car No 1
5′ 3″ Irish Gauge
(Now sold)
This railway velocipede has the 1898 patent design, with a handbrake. I bought it at an Irish auction, over the phone, and received it dismantled.
It’s Irish Gauge, 5′ 3″ so I can’t use it on English rails, which are 4′ 8 1/2″. I’ll update this page with detailed photos when I’ve reassembled it.
