This fabulous lightweight machine is one of the earliest surviving Dursley Pedersens. It was totally restored to a very high standard by its previous owner, and is fitted with the latest braking technology from the turn of the century – an Eadie coaster brake and a Bowden patent cable-operated brake. After the freewheel was introduced in 1898 , these two designs provided the essential braking power for cyclists in the new century.
As you can see, the Pedersen features the early headbadge current between 1900 and 1901, and is fitted with a leather toolbag and inflator pump. It rides superbly.
