1921 Singer Gent’s Grand, Model No 7
26.5″ Frame
28″ Wheels
Frame No 426704
Sturmey-Archer ‘Model K’ three-speed gear

The Singer and Premier Cycle Companies merged in 1919, and I noticed a Premier front brake on this Singer. The 1926 Singer catalogue states: ‘This is the revival of a special model which enjoyed a world wide reputation in pre-war days.’
This No 7 is a fabulous survivor from a long lost era. I’m not sure if it has original paint or if it was painted 30 or 40 years ago and the paint is now weathered. It retains one transfer (decal), on its chaincase. The pedals are later and the saddle is wrong (I’ll leave the next owner to sort that out), but everything works fine, it’s a lovely machine with a ‘lived-in’ feel to it, and it’s ready to jump on and ride.
