 THE TRUSS-TUBE FRAME AS A FRENCH CYCLING ICON

Although the truss-tube frame style was patented by the American Iver Johnson company, by the 1910s the French had re-invented it as their own iconic design.

It was introduced to France when Major Taylor raced Iver Johnson bicycles in the early years of the century.
