1920s Manufrance Hirondelle Passe-Partout

Manufrance introduced the Passe-Partout in response to demand for an adult bicycle with lower wheelbase and smaller wheels. It made its debut in 1908, and the model continued in production until 1927.

The ‘Minima’, produced between 1913 and 1923, was similar but had a folding handlebar, and its advertisements illustrated it fitted to the running board of an automobile.

The Passe-Partout featured here is the ‘No 9’ current from 1914 to 1927.

The Passe-Partout is in good original unrestored cosmetic condition. The nickel is in excellent, the wooden rims are sound and it rides well. You can see photos and a short video of thirteen-year-old Megan riding it at the recent Amerberley Veteran Cycle Day.
