1926 Excelsior (German)

22.5″ Frame

28″ Wheels

Bosch headlight.

Excelsior was a well-established German cycle manufacturer and in the mid-1920s the company was at its peak, with 1500 workers and an annual production of 70,000 cycles. Their bicycles were well-built. In addition to bicycles and components, the company also made motorcycles from 1902 to 1908. They resumed motorcycle production in 1929, using British JAP engines.

I bought this Excelsior from a German friend Jurgen 10 years ago to go with my American Excelsior and an English Excelsior that I’ve since sold. The attractive Bosch headlight is untested. The Excelsior is in very good original condition and ready to ride.
