Colson was one of the market leaders in children’s tricycles in the 1930s. After employing automobile designers to update their sales line, they brought out several designs of velocipede tricycle in 1938 with different types of duplex tubing. The most significant was their rear-steering Rocket tricycle.
Other companies rose to the challenge, and this example was built by O.W. Siebert Mfg. Co to compete with the Colson Rocket.
