Phillips Cycle Co Ltd was one of the cycle manufacturers that made bicycles to the government military pattern MkV specification.
The MkV* designation means that the bicycle had conventional roller lever brakes, whereas the MkV had a roller lever front and coaster (back-pedal) rear brake. The green paintwork is original. The headbadge and rear mudguard badge are intact. It’s fitted with heavy duty pedals, and the standard military pattern rear carrier.
The machine is in good all-round condition and ready for display. New tyres should be fitting for riding
