1950s Triang Juvenile ‘Lady-front’ Tandem

THE FIRST PRACTICAL TANDEM SAFETY BICYCLE

1950s Triang Juvenile ‘Lady-front’ Tandem

Frame: 14″ front; 16″ back

16 x 1 3/8″ wheels

LENGTH: 66″

WIDTH: 23″

HEIGHT: 35″

The original ‘lady-front’ tandems were designed so the lady sat at the front and the gentleman, positioned behind, could steer the tandem from the rear via rods connecting the handlebars. I don’t know why this 1950s children’s version is made with the girl at the front …perhaps for nostalgic reasons?
