The Quadrant No 8 Gents’ Tricycle was the top machine of its era. Its light weight made it suitable for racing, and many successes were recorded in 1886 after the tricycle made its debut.

This is a rare survivor in excellent condition. As it has been stored in a private collection for many years, it’s due at the workshop next week for a service. Once done, I’ll share a video of it being ridden.

Quadrant tricycles were all the rage, as they were ideal for chaps who felt a bit wobbly on a bicycle.
