1890 Overman Victor Spring-fork Safety
20″ Frame
30″ Wheels
(Now sold)

I bought this Victor Springframe from a museum where it had been on display for many years. The wooden grip is missing on the right side of the handlebar and there is a piece of solid tyre missing on the rear, but otherwise it’s in excellent unrestored original condition. This hammock style of saddle rarely survives intact as the stretched leather top is inherently weak. Its condition suits the rest of the bicycle if used for display and if the leather top is replaced the bicycle can be ridden after a service.

VICTOR SPRINGFORK REAR BRAKE
Because of its springfork, the Victor’s brake acts on the rear wheel rather than the front. Here you can see how its brake lever links to the pivot to press the brake spoon onto the rear tyre.
