Russell Parker was the inventor of the USA Liquid Pistol, patented in June, 1896. He was the president of the Parker Stearns & Sutton company, which specialised in rubber goods.
Russell Parker held an 1898 patent for a ‘vaginal syringe’ and Benjamin Sutton patented improvements in an Alpha Fountain Syringe that was also sold by the company. These related to enemas, as you can see below. You can also see that the rubber syringe element was what connected these two products.
