This sporty ‘First Grade Raleigh No 4’ was unpacked after 20 years in a box in my friend’s warehouse in America.

How do I know it’s a No 4?

– Good question; I would never have known …if it hadn’t said so on the seat tube.

The transfers are remarkably intact for a bicycle this old, and most of the box lining also still shows clearly on the old paint.
