1924 Chase Standard Gents Roadster

Chase Cycle Co was established in 1889 at Snow Hill, Birmingham, the proprietor being A. W. Le Couteur. It had an office and warehouse at 54 Newton Street, Birmingham and works at 23 George Street. The company’s cycles were very good quality and they had a healthy export business. I’ve come across several surviving examples over the years, and I made a mental note of the company’s unique chainwheel design some years ago in case I come across an unidentified machine made by Chase.
Having resided in my friend’s storage for the past few decades, this survivor is in original unrestored condition. It retains its seat tube transfer (decal) showing the name CHASE. It is excellent all round and ready to ride.
