Noddy pedal cars are not particularly rare, though as they are made of plastic, they are rarer in this preserved original condition. What I like about them is the volume of illustrations available from the Noddy books which were first published in 1949. My generation grew up on these books and stories, and even our daughter, now aged sixteen, enjoyed them as a young child.
As you can see from the illustration below, the 1961 metal-bodied Triang Noddy pedal car was more elaborate and its fittings were easily broken. The moulded plastic version featured here was more robust and a much better seller.
The book and small noddy car (below) belonged to my daughter when she was aged two.
