1936 American National ‘Fire Chief’ Tricycle

 

 

Fire Chief pedal cars had been popular for some time before they were added to the American National velocipede tricycle range.

As you can see from the catalogue pages here (1935-1937), children’s tricycles were advertised by a variety of catalogue companies and department stores.

This Fire Chief is resplendent in its original red and white paintwork, with a multitude of original transfers (decals) faded, but readable. The Fire Chief Jr Siren was made for Fire Chief pedal cars as well as tricycles.
