This is larger than a kid’s scooter, more like young adult size. It’s an interesting and stylish design, with a good braking system, and I’ve never seen another like it. I’m not sure of its age, but I reckon either just before or just after WW2. The date I’ve chosen is 1947 as many children’s riding toys were made in Britain at that time, often from surplus material from the war. It was a time when the government provided funding for small manufacturers who were able to supply goods that could be exported to bring in much-needed foreign exchange to help repay the British war debt with the USA.
