This is a strange bicycle-cum-scooter. I’ve never seen another like it. I’ve assumed that it is late 1940s rather than prewar because its design reflects the layout of contemporary French motor scooters such as the Mors Speed (above) and the British Swallow Gadabout (below) which was introduced in 1946.

BEFORE RESTORATION
As you can see by comparing the ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures above and below, the job that was urgently needed was to to replace the white plastic panel under the seat. The Gloria badge was cut out and fitted to the new metal panel that replaced the plastic.
